Is it only a glass and a quarter now?

Is it only a glass and quarter now? Probably not, but I did notice Cadbury’s is missing something in the new packaging of their blocks – 30g of chocolate. Yep, the 250gm block is now 220gm. Sneaky sneaky. I initially thought the price was the same but I’m pretty sure its dropped. They got to be about $4.99 a block but Coles Online says they are now $4.35. Woolies might be different, but I doubt it.

Anyway, they explain the whole science behind the box packaging here in feedback to Crikey. I still don’t understand why they had to decrease the size though. Coles currently has 2 blocks for $6. I still bought two but now I think thats shifty. I would have used to think that was good, when I was getting 250g. The man lives on top deck and snack. Personally I think snack is revolting.

On another chocolate note, I just noticed Lindt now have 70% dark with ginger so I got some of that as well to nibble on later.

Companies have been doing that for such a long time. I can recall the scandal over twenty years ago when the number of tissues in a Kleenex box was reduced. What can we do? Nothing!

And big bags of chips have also gotten smaller. You used to get a 250g bag, now they range between 200 and 225g. I think it’s meant to be unnoticeable. When in a house of 6, you DO notice it! 🙂
Bought some online the other day and thought they were the regular size bags on spesh, but they ended up being 175g bags, so even smaller.
